We are supporters of both the expression of the gifts and leadings of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinth. 14:26) as well as the Biblical testing of these same "charismatic" activities (1 Thess. 5:17-22). This portion of our website is dedicated to the "Charismatic" issues we were compelled by the Lord's Spirit and by our own concern to research or speak out on. When the research is our own, quotes from publications and books or tapes are carefully handled, meaning that they are not taken out of context. When the reports are done by others, we have often confirmed them in some way as being a fair enough treatment of the subject or book. We make no apologies for "sounding the alarm" in useful ways over issues and teachings that are already very public and often quite well-known. These reports are often easily verified by anyone who wishes to look into the specifics.
"Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as He is righteous."

Addressing the issues:

The original intent of this section was not meant to merely showcase any sensational prophetic failure, but rather express a multitude of alarms about the character of a public ministry who sought to be an authority on the prophetic. This work remains published as, at the very least, an instructive journey into a self-made ordeal that probably could have been avoided by Joyner himself. James 5:5: "If any of you is lacking in wisdom, ask God, who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given you."

This page is a bit informally written and leads to other appropriate internal pages on our website. Although our pages began to be written and published since 1999, these same concerns have been voiced by others in the years since. We have not kept up with every book or conference churned out by this organization of people, so one must keep in mind that the scope of these reports are limited to just a few years of observation.
Oct. 2006 Update:
Authority, Accountability, and the
Apostolic Movement
by Stephen
Crosby
Book description:
There
is a new apostolic movement afoot, and it is leading many from the
simplicity of the pure gospel. To be legitimate, the teaching emphasis
and ministry expression of present-day apostles and prophets must
reflect
a correct gospel foundation:
Instead,
the new apostolic reformation movement, with its emphasis on
apostolic authority, “spiritual covering,” loyalty,
honor, submission,
and government, has become the vehicle to build the philosophies and
kingdoms of men.
Dr. Stephen Crosby’s
third book,
Authority, Accountability, and the Apostolic Movement, probes these and
other authority/submission issues from a biblically disciplined,
Christ-centered, New Covenant perspective. Within these
pages, every believer, church leader, apostle, or prophet who may have
wandered from th simplicity of the gospel can find the road to
recovery.
This is the only printed book on this subject that we recommend. See my amazon review of it!
We have been told that this portion of our website has been helpful to those who have experienced 'take overs' in their churches by the teachings of these groups or their fans.
