THE HATE-CRIMES MEASURE
Is Freedom of Expression Threatened?

It came as no surprise when the liberal Democrats attached the Federal Hate-Crimes Bill onto the $680 billion Defense Department authorization bill. The bill broadens the current definition of Federal hate crimes to include attacks based on gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or disability.

Let it be said that all citizens should be protected from both hate and love crimes, whether they be male or female, disabled, sexually “straight” or sexually “uneven,” voyeurs, exhibitionists, transvestites, transsexuals, of a different skin color, religious and social pedophiles, rapists, and child predators. Although most of us do not agree with the lifestyles of some of these citizens, and consider those lifestyles repulsive, nonetheless they all should receive the same protection from hate crimes as all other citizens.

If Matthew Shepherd was killed because of his being homosexual, his killers should receive—and have received—the severest of punishments. However, there is some question whether his being homosexual was the chief motive behind the crime. On October 26, 2004, ABC’s 20/20 documented that it was not a hate crime after all. Instead, robbery and drugs prompted the killing—not hatred for homosexuals.

Another hate/love/sexual crime occurred in Prairie Grove, Arkansas on September 26, 1999, when Jesse Dirkhising, a 13-year old youngster was sadistically raped, tortured, and murdered by a 22-year-old homosexual and his 38-year-old “lover.” You may not have heard of it, because the liberal, mainline media hardly touched it. They splash all over their networks and newspapers every hate crime story that involves heterosexuals who persecute and murder homosexuals, but rarely do they widely broadcast sexual crimes committed by homosexuals against young boys and adult heterosexuals.

There are two sides to every story—sometimes more than two. A few years ago, during a homosexual parade in New York City, Christians were spat upon and cursed with the filthiest of profanity because they carried banners that pointed out the sin of homosexuality. There were no “hate” banners. The police didn’t touch the homosexual offenders. So, what are the “politically correct” liberals and mainline media going to do about such behavior against Christians? Probably little or nothing.

Doesn’t the same Constitutional rights that permit homosexuals to verbally and publicly oppose Christianity equally apply to Christians who verbally and publicly defy homosexuality? Or is America subjected to two sets of Constitutional rights—one for the homosexual and the other for the Christian? Aren’t we all living under one Constitution? May only homosexual citizens dissent while “straight” citizens are denied?

Not too long ago, in Phoenix, a homosexual allegedly took the life of his homosexual partner, apparently out of jealous rage. For the next two days the local media covered the story. Then all of a sudden it was completely dropped—never to be mentioned again. It was obvious what had happened. As 40 years of history confirms, pressure was applied to the media by the homosexual activists and the homosexual lobby to drop the account. It seems that every time the strong arm of the homosexual lobby exerts itself around media’s neck, Editors and Reporters flee to the bushes.

But back to Pelosi’s Hate-Crimes Bill. I have two major objections to it.

1) All citizens, in every State of the Union, are already protected from all crimes, whether committed by heterosexuals or by homosexuals. It was not necessary that the Federal Government, under the leadership of liberal politicians of the Democratic mold, get involved.

2) If this Bill passes the Senate and Obama signs it into law, as he said he would, I predict homosexual activists and the homosexual lobby will use it to suppress all opposition to their questionable lifestyle. They will do this under the umbrella of “intimidation” and call it a “hate crime.” Mark my word. I’m familiar with the way they operate. I have had enough experiences with homosexual activists and their hatred for opposition to their lifestyle to know assuredly that those of us who have no plans to cease our resistance—or our freedom of expression rights—will be threatened.

Final Note: I am disappointed that Congress has not considered labeling the bill the Matthew Shepherd/Jesse Dirkhising Bill. For if the bill were to carry this title, heterosexuals would be equally covered and protected against hate crimes.

As a substance abuse counselor the first formal session I have is on "Values, Attitudes, and Behaviors". It is amazing how addicts have great difficulty in defining these words and even a more difficult time ascribing daily examples of use. The greatest confusion is between "attitudes", defined as: thoughts, ideas, feelings, emotion, beliefs, etc.; and "behaviors", defined as: actions, things performed or done. The confusion continues even when it is pointed out that values and attitudes are internally wrought impression and behaviors are externally wrought expressions. I also point out that up until recently in "this" country that all crimes and punishment in the civilian community were based on the external expression of actions and behaviors because since attitudes/feelilngs/emotion/belief were internal to the person and since we for the most part are not mind readers could not punish on the unseen and unknowable. (up until 1965 the Navy used a system of punishment called "Rocks and Shoals", where a superior petty officer or commissioned officer could take a subordinate to captain's mast for what they thought they said, or thought they thought) Hate-crimes measures/legislation are the punishment of the internal workings of an individual and their emotions, thoughts, and beliefs without sure knowledge of the facts. They are nothing but a perversion of justice and capriciousness run amok used to control others and situations based on whim and conjecture to the purposeful destruction of society, law, truth, and God. It is another item of constitutional rights destroyed. The Obamaddon Administration and its fasco-communitst ideology will exploit this to our destruction and to "The Rise of The New World Order".

Now I'm going to have to look up "Rocks and Shoals" jrdull. Excellent analogy. Thanks much.

Thanks Reformer for bringing up Jesse Dirkhising. I sure get tired of hearing of Matthew Shepherd, as if that was the only crime in America. That kind of selective reporting is truly propaganda. It's as bad as the media's obsession with reporting all female sex offenders in the public school system, while ignoring all male sex offenders, of which there are a-plenty. I don't like it when only half the truth is told. This of course would include any pretending there are no crimes done against against any group of people, by any other group of people.

I agree, except I'm not totally convinced about the "New World Order."

Wait until you read the words of the new treaty Obamaddon is going to sign next month. Better yet, watch Glenn Bech this Friday at 1700 hrs.
